Design and provision of calculation packs for main portal frame members, purlins, and bracing. Derived loads from hand calculation and used Excel to create critical load case combination tables per BS 8110. structural engineering software used to output design actions; design iteration process documented. 2D and 3D design drawings produced in design software.
RC Frame Design · Accra, Ghana
Designed reinforced concrete frame to resist gravity loads for an apartment complex in Accra. Modelled in structural engineering software; loads derived from hand calculation. Critical load cases developed per the Ghana Building Code using MS Excel. Drafted in design software and civil engineering software.
Retaining Structure · Accra, Ghana
Designed reinforced concrete cantilever retaining wall retaining a sloped soil embankment. Performed soil, hydrostatic, and surcharge load calculations; stability checks for sliding and overturning; hand calculations verified using structural engineering software. Applied concrete design principles to determine reinforcement sizing.
Detention pond design, U-drain construction supervision, site drainage layout, and stormwater management across Ghana and the United States.
Stormwater Detention · Lansing, Michigan, USA
Designed stormwater detention facility integrated into a public park. Established pond geometry, outlet structures, and spillways to meet water quality and flood control goals. Incorporated aesthetic considerations for the park setting; coordinated with surveyors on final grading and design details.
U-Drain Construction · Accra, Ghana · 2024
Supervised construction of 1.1 km of roadside U-drains for stormwater conveyance in Accra. Verified proper alignment, slope, and compaction for hydraulic performance. Checked concrete quality and reinforcement placement during construction works at Punctum Construction Ltd.
Site Drainage & Road · Lansing, Michigan, USA
Site layout and drainage design as part of the large-scale Montgomery Drain environmental improvement project. Redesigned Morgan Street with new roadway alignments, cross-sections, and utility adjustments. Designed rain gardens and stormwater detention features to meet water quality goals.
On-site construction supervision across bridge installation, civil infrastructure, and road works on Ghana's trunk road and rural road network.

Construction supervision for nine modular steel bridges across rural and trunk roads in Ghana. Inspected substructures and superstructures; ensured installation complied with manufacturer specifications; resolved site engineering issues. Broad Consult Ltd, for Ghana Highway Authority.
Erosion Control · Ghana · 2022
Developed erosion control and scour protection designs for eight bridge sites across Ghana — riprap armoring, gabion structures, and vegetation stabilisation. Reviewed and approved contractor submittals for erosion control implementation at each site.
Road Culvert · Accra, Ghana · 2024
Designed reinforced concrete box culvert for road crossing drainage system in Accra. Calculated design flows; sized culvert to meet hydraulic requirements; prepared design drawings and construction guidance for the site team at Punctum Construction Ltd.
Bridge Inventory · Ghana · 2023
Bridge inventory and condition survey for selected structures across Ghana's trunk road network. Conducted site inspections, recorded condition ratings, and prepared reports for planning and maintenance decision-making by the highway authority.
Drainage Culvert · Ottawa County MI · 2019
Hydraulic analysis to size a replacement culvert for the Cory Bishop Drain improvement project. Developed erosion control measures including riprap, vegetative stabilisation, and check structures. Oversaw design phase and produced final plans and calculations.
Building Construction · Accra, Ghana · 2024–2025
Oversight of construction of three multi-storey concrete frame buildings in Accra. Prepared site layout plans; supervised excavation and frame construction; verified concrete strength and reinforcement placement against structural design drawings.
